                                                                  Constructive Tool

Constructive tool is one of the effective tools in ICT. It is generally used by tutors and learners to construct their knowledge and deliver in a constructive way. Thus, it is a tool used to manipulate information, construct our own knowledge, or the understanding of the concept. With the help of constructive tools student can use technologies to enhance their prior knowledge rather than passive receiving of information from the teacher. Student can use power-points, micro-soft words, excel, etc. to learn, explore and manipulate information and ideas and edit their works. Moreover, the learners can display their work in an attractive and interactive manner.

By integrating this tool in teaching and learning, it can help the learners to brainstorm and visualize their ow understanding and knowledge in an explicit manner; it also enhances critical thinking and creativity. Some of the constructive tools include, LMS-Learning Management System, CMaps, Microsoft words, desktop publisher, sheets and excel, Camtasia studio as well as social networking sites like Facebook, twitter, messenger, telegram etc. where students can use these platforms to construct and enhance their own knowledge in a way that they prefer.

CMaps-Concept Maps

A concept map is a constructive tool that helps to organize and represent knowledge. it's a visual tool that uses nodes or boxes of different shapes to represent concepts and lines or arrows to show the relationships between them. concept maps are great for brainstorming, studying, and problem-solving. CMaps encourages critical thinking and deeper understanding of the subject matter. By visualizing it connects different concepts, students can see the bigger picture and understand how ideas relate to each other. this promotes a more realistic and holistic understanding of the topic.

Implementing such concepts in schools can be highly beneficial. Concepts maps provide a visual representation of knowledge, allowing students to see the connections between different ideas and concepts. by creating concept maps, student can organize information in a meaningful way, identify key concepts, and understand how they relate to each other. This helps them build a solid foundation of knowledge and promote deeper understanding.

when student create concept maps, they actively engage with the materials and take ownership of their learning. They have to analyses, synthesize, and evaluate information to determine the relationships between the concepts. This process encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as students have to make decisions about what information is important and how it fits into the bigger picture.

Concept maps also promote meaningful learning by connecting new information to prior knowledge. students can link new concepts to existing ones, creating a web of knowledge that helps them retain information better. this approach fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter and helps students make connections across different topics and disciplines.
